Addvertise.info - Proxy Newsletter Service - Review

As there are so many proxy newsletter services out there, I thought I would keep you informed to the most effective and best performing services. I will be testing the newsletter service on 2 proxy’s; tracking the number of visitors referred, click through rate (adsense) and total amount earned via adsense.

Addvertise.info

I have used addvertise.info in the past to promote many of my proxy’s. The owner sends out new proxy’s to his yahoo group on a daily basis (over 15000 members). There are 3 service levels available: Bronze - $15 for one proxy url, Silver - $20 for 2 proxy url’s plus 2 hour gap between any other emails & Gold - $25 for 4 proxy url’s plus 4 hour gap between any other emails.

I chose the Silver option for my two proxy’s. The good thing about addvertise.info is that the owner will check your domains through various filters to make sure they are not blocked. This avoids him sending out bad proxy’s and you wasting your money.

Total Expenditure: $20

Adsense Income: $5.54 (both proxy’s)

Traffic: 1600 visitors (3 days after day of newsletter)

On top of the traffic and adsense hits I also received  around 35 sign ups to my Yahoo group.

All in all you could look bluntly at these stats and say I made a loss of $14. However, the sign ups to my yahoo group are invaluable and one must remember that the newsletter was going to experienced proxy users who are aware of what ads look like. Furthermore, I did not take into account the income from adbrite on the proxified pages.

Overall, I would say that this newsletter is expensive but is effective in giving a quick traffic boost. The owner is very helpful in answering questions and the service is delivered quickly.
